Artists who do commissions have all been there; there come several points in your drawing career in which you have to create or rethink the costs for your drawings. What’s considered too high? What’s too low? What’s the best way for me to make money without either losing my sanity or having to forego paying my bills? Quite a bit of the time, we’re told that we were wrong in our guesses and our prices are far out-of-range in either direction, that we either charge far too much or we’re selling ourselves short.

And that’s not fair.
